“Meret?Alex is a great goalkeeper, I know him both as a man and as a footballer and he is a true number one. Last year he was questioned but he was able to face the criticism like some of his teammates and even win the championship. This year perhaps he has been affected by the difficult moment for all of Napoli, even if he certainly made some mistakes, but if you are not defended in the correct way everything becomes more difficult. There may be room for the Azzurri to think about changing next season, but if you change Meret you have to get a goalkeeper worth 50 million because otherwise it wouldn’t make sense. Today Alex is one of the best goalkeepers in Italy and in my opinion also in Europe, he has too often been questioned and criticized, but I know that he cares a lot about this shirt and I hope that he can continue this adventure. For next season Napoli must choose a coach who is supported in every way by the club and first and foremost by the president. Because the names that are mentioned are all very good coaches, but to return to winning as Napoli deserves, we need unity of purpose creating the right environment and trust.
Simeon? He has proven to be an important player in a context where everything was going well, but he needs to play with continuity and trust from his coach. Rugani? He has had an incredible career, he is an important player, but for the choices of his future and the possibility of letting him play everything also depends on club choices and above all on who will coach him.
Naples in my destiny? Many times they linked my name to the Azzurri, but they were only media opportunities, because in reality there was never anything.
