Late afternoon yesterday (Tuesday 30 April) Paolo Bongioannigroup leader of the Brothers of Italy in the Piedmont Regional Council, met a group of people who in the last administrative elections of Mondovì represented the civic component in support of the centre-right candidate Henry Red, plus some new sympathizers. A meeting organized by representatives of the centre-right of Mondovì at the local listening point of Fratelli d’Italia, which saw the Monregalese – citizens even before people interested in “public affairs” – discuss with Paolo Bongioanni on various topics, in view of the regional elections on 8 and 9 June.
«Our activity as minority city councilors – highlighted the group leader of the Centre-right in the City Council Henry Redand the group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the city council Rocco Pulitanò introducing the evening – it has been very intense so far: proof of this are the 34 questions and the 8 agendas presented. School buildings, commerce, urban decor, waste, public transport, safety: these are the main topics we touched on. An activity, above all, which saw us always attentive to the dynamics of the city and equally sensitive to the voice, requests and needs of the citizens who turned to us and who we willingly listened to. We were an incentive for the majority, who in some cases took our suggestions and made them their own. We are certain that this is the right direction to take with regards to our role as opposition municipal councilors and we plan to continue on this path.”
«We thank Paolo Bongioanni for his presence this evening – underlined Rosso and Pulitanò – a tangible sign of the great attention he has for the territory, for its representatives and for the citizens. A way of operating from which we took inspiration for our administrative activity.” «The political line that I decided to adopt during my mandate – said Paolo Bongioanni, addressing those present – is particularly based on listening. A style from which a lot of satisfaction comes, but which at the same time is very demanding: listening to so many requests for discussion and help arrives, the activity becomes intense and without pauses.”
The next step is to transform the discussion into concrete actions: «From listening to companies, families, associations, the proposals, the Regional Council and the laws were born. During the mandate we managed to do a lot, also thanks to a good support team and the harmony with the presidency which allowed us to find a productive synthesis on many matches.” A thought also on that dramatically uncertain historical period dominated by the pandemic: «It was a very difficult moment, but thanks to continuous discussion and teamwork in which I actively participated we managed to get out of it, supporting our companies in difficulty with extraordinary allocations , and facing the health emergency with a territorial organization that allowed us to come out of it better than many other regions.”
With Paolo Bongioanni Mondovì and the Monregalese finally have a direct expression in the Piedmont Region: «A lot can be done, especially in attracting resources to our territory»concluded Bongioanni.
