The list of candidates for the Milan bench is increasingly thick. Weeks ago we told you about a sensational market indiscretion coming from Russia regarding Maurizio Sarri’s possible move to Milan. After some time, the name of the former Lazio coach returns to the Rossoneri orbit. Gianluigi Longari, sports journalist on ‘SportItalia‘ who, taking stock of the Milan bench, revealed a sensational transfer background.
Sarri to Milan? Why not…
The idea of Sarri at Milan, feared weeks ago by his Russian colleagues, appeared as a real suggestion rather than something really practicable. According to what was reported by Gianluigi Longari, however, the Sarri idea in Via Aldo Rossi could be much more than an idea. The journalist and market expert has in fact stated that “Maurizio Sarri is also included in the list of coaches that Milan are considering, without there having yet been any contact between the Rossoneri management staff and this coach and his staff.” He went on to state that “Sarri has the right tactical characteristics to enhance, according to Milan, the qualities of the squad available.” He concluded by reiterating, however, that “Sarri is a name that Milan does not mind in the evaluations of the Rossoneri club, but, we reiterate, at the moment there has been no direct contact. It’s an indiscretion that for now stops at technical approval“.
The situation on Fonseca and Lopetegui
Gianluigi Longari gave a broad overview of Milan’s possible new coaches. These also include Fonseca and Lopetegui. On the first he stated that “It’s not entirely convincing at Milan”on the second instead of “is on stand-by due to the popular revolt of the Milan fans and the owners’ considerations on what could arise from this outcry from the Rossoneri people.”
