The petition against the use of the full veil.
A whole collection of signatures Friulian for a law that bans the full veil on the national territory. The idea was born from the mayor of Monfalcone, Anna Maria Cisint, organizer of the evening together with the Milanese MEP Silvia Sardone. Both candidates in the elections of 8 and 9 June for the renewal of the Brussels assembly, the two women have recounted their lives under armed guard after the death threats they receive every day from fundamentalist Islam around the world. “I don’t stop, I consider this campaign for a‘More liveable Europe’ is a mission to stop a rampant model that aims to replace entire populations and millenary cultures”, said Cisint as she presented her book “Enough is enough” on Tuesday evening at the Palafiere in Pordenone.
Also there Sardone, arrived specially from Lombardy, she explained that she was targeted with hateful messages even from prison, where trappers and fundamentalist singers incite violence and convert the youngest. Pressed by questions from the political scientist Marco Gombacci and the regional secretary of the League, senator Marco Dreosto, the two political exponents promised rigor and seriousness if they are elected to the European Parliament.
“We want a law that prevents people from walking around with their faces covered, here we are dealing with people who apply it even to very young girls“, concluded the mayor of Monfalcone who also invited us to reflect on the fact that “the fundamentalists do not accept the rules of law but believe only in sharia”. A crew of journalists is also in the room ready to interview Cisint and Sardone Danes who have heard the news of this battle for legality.
