“The southern regions today have an income that does not reach that of other areas, in some respects their citizens benefit from less efficient services – underlined the Head of State – In the south the employment rate is lower and there are many who reluctantly they leave their land of origin, accentuating a risk of depopulation that should be curbed”.
So Mattarella, in all likelihood referring to Autonomy, warned about risk of dividing North and South: “The development of the Republic needs the relaunch of the South.
