Baby Reindeera Netflix miniseries available from early April (READ THE SPECIAL), chronicles the relationship between comedian Donny Dunn (Richard Gadd) and his stalker Martha (Jessica Gunning), starting from the personal experience of Gadd himself, creator of the show. In light of his success, the latter had addressed a online appeal not to investigate the true identity of the characters, which apparently was not listened to.
In a recent interview with the Daily Mailthe real Martha (who preferred not to reveal her name) said she had received death threats and abuse, attacking Gadd himself:
He is mistreating an older woman to gain fame and fortune. He’s using Baby Reindeer to stalk me. I am the victim. She wrote a damn show about me.
The woman, who denied having been the man’s stalker, also accused him of having the “protagonist syndrome” and contested some aspects of the series: “I have never owned a toy reindeer or even had a conversation with Richard Gadd about a childhood toy.”
