A Smart car caught fire this morning in via Bernardo Cavallino, in the Rione Alto area. According to Fanpage.it, the car, driven by a girl, was traveling in the direction of the Antonio Cardarelli Hospital when, according to initial reconstructions, it caught fire. It seems that the fire started from the car’s engine for reasons yet to be clarified. The young woman who was on board managed to leave the car before it was too late and escape without suffering injuries or burns. The fire also spread to other machines, damaging them. Two fire brigade teams arrived on site.
The flames devoured the car in a few minutes. A thick blanket of black, acrid smoke rose into the sky, visible from various points of the city, even kilometers away. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Firefighters managed to put out the flames in a short time. The car, unlike the information circulated in recent hours, was not an electric car. The fire occurred around 8.00 this morning, Monday 29 April 2024, in via Bernardo Cavallino, in the V Municipality of Vomero-Arenella.
