Traffic blocked for over an hour on State Road n. 5 Tiburtina near Popoli Terme due to a road accident in which a motorcyclist, 34 year old AP resident in Cappelle sul Tavo (PE), died after a violent impact against the guard rail. The motorcyclist would have done everything alone. With him there were three other motorcyclists, all traveling in the direction of Sulmona to do their usual motorbike ride. The 118 personnel were on site together with the carabinieri who proceeded to carry out the necessary investigations to trace the dynamics of the accident which is still in progress. The air ambulance also arrived from Pescara and left immediately after realizing that there was nothing left to do for the young motorcyclist. From an initial reconstruction it would appear that the young man lost control of the motorbike and was then thrown from the saddle and ended up against the guard rail. A motorbike that he didn’t know well because it wasn’t his but one of his friends who, shortly before the accident, he had asked to let him try it. After the investigations, the 34-year-old’s body was transferred to the Pescara hospital morgue at the disposal of the judicial authorities. Inconvenience for cars and heavy vehicles in transit, so much so that a queue more than two kilometers long was created
