The parade of Mandas on Coppola he undoubtedly saved the result against Verona. It was worth at least two more points in the standings, allowing Lazio to close the result at 1-0.
Mandas did not disappoint expectations
As he writes Corriere dello Sport, the 22-year-old Greek played an excellent game with the only flaw in the first half, when he miscalculated the distances and risked making a mess on an exit. The real miracle, however, arrived right on Coppola who was already ready to celebrate for the 1-1. Mandas is making good use of theoccasion which happened to him due to Provedel’s injury. In 9 games played he collected 4 clean sheets and conceded 7 goals in total. He is a young goalkeeper with quality and ample room for improvement who can represent the future of Lazio in the next years. The club has yet to decide whether to keep him next year or send him to play somewhere to give him the continuity he needs to grow further.
Provedel’s return
Ivan will be back soon Provedel. On March 11th he suffered a bad ankle injury and for a few days he has resumed training in a differentiated way, even if he still has to work well from an athletic point of view to get back into the best condition. He could return on Saturday against Monza or at most against Empoli at the Olimpico.
