RIPALTA CREMASCA – It ended on Sunday 21 April on the fields of Tennis Club Astera the Nissan Cassini Auto Trophy, a 3rd category men’s singles tennis tournament, in which 81 athletes divided between categories took part. 3.1 – 4.Nc, and with a prize pool of €800.00.
The tournament which lasted 2 weeks was exciting from the start until the end saw the surprise victory of the 4th seed Riccardo Mevolli of the Il Mezzodi Tennis Club of Brescia, fresh finalist of the Cral Aziende Sanitarie Cremonesi Tournament who after overcoming the favorite in the semi-final Luca Toscani of the Crema Tennis Club and ranked first seeded, in the final he got the better of the other surprise of the tournament, that is Simone Denti of Canottieri Baldesio and seeded no. 3, which they surprisingly eliminated in the other semi-final Daniel Longhi of the Bergamo Tennis Club.
Semi-finals:
Mevolli (4) beats Toscani (1) 6-0 6-1 and Denti (3) beats Longhi (2) 6-4 7-6.
The final:
Mevolli (4) beats Denti (3) 6-4 4-6 long tie break 10-4.
At the end in the presence of the head of the Nissan Cassini Auto Group Aries Bonazzathe ritual awards ceremonies were held which they attended Marco Caravaggi competition judge e Michelangelo Lamera tournament director.
