At the Rimini Fair took place European Specialty Finals 2024 women’s artistic gymnastics. The four titles and twelve medals on individual apparatus were awarded at the end of a highly spectacular day which proved to be very satisfying for Italy.
Alice D’Amato confirmed herself as European Champion on uneven bars after the seal twelve months ago in Antalya, climbing onto the continental podium for the fourth time in his career. The 21-year-old put the gold medal around her neck with a score of 14.600, signing a splendid double with Elisa Iorio (14.366), his first career title at continental level. Bronze goes to the British Georgia-Mae Fenton (13,900).
Manila Esposito performed a killer exercise on the beamwas rewarded with an exceptional 14.400 (6.1 D Score) and checkedmated, graduating European champion after the seal two days ago in the individual general competition. Bell became the first Italian to win the 10cm in the history of the continental event, improving the silver of twelve months ago. The 17-year-old prevailed in the duel with Romanian Sabrina Maneca-Voinea, bowing with 14.166 despite a huge D Score of 6.5. Alice D’Amato fifth with 13.266, the French Marine Boyer completed the podium (14.033).
Manila Esposito then signed an anthological encore of the floor exercise, becoming the first Italian to win three golds in the same edition of the European Championships. The bell performed a splendid exercise and was rewarded with a significant 13.833, thus managing to once again beat the Romanian Sabrina Maneca-Voinea (13.700). Splendid bronze for Angela Andreoli (13,666), which replicates third place two years ago.
There were no Italians competing on vault (no one performed the two jumps in qualifying) and the Frenchwoman Coline Devillard won her third European title in her career after those of 2017 and 2023. The transalpine won with an average of 13.866, preceding the Bulgarian Valentina Georgieva (13.799) and her compatriot Ming van Eijken (13.699).
