The industrial plan of Acciaierie d’Italia under limited liability will be delivered to Brussels on Monday 6 May to be examined by the European Commission.

A fundamental step is therefore being taken to obtain the green light from the European Union for the bridge loan of 320 million euros. In fact, the Italian government must demonstrate that Acciaierie d’Italia is able to return it if it does not want to incur the threat of state aid which would nullify the entire operation.
Meanwhile, as already announced in the last meeting between the government and the unions, the one held on Tuesday 30 April at Palazzo Chigi, the government, as reiterated in these hours by the Minister for Infrastructure and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, in this week that opens, the decree will be passed which makes available to the three extraordinary commissioners a further 150 million euros which will be added to the same amount that about a month ago the commissioners of Ilva under administration transferred to Acciaierie d’Italia under administration in accordance with the provisions of an integration to the Pnrr decree.
What opens, however, is a new week of meetings. They were called by the three extraordinary commissioners Giancarlo Quaranta, Giovanni Fiori and Davide Tabarelli who will meet again in Rome on Tuesday 7 May with the national secretaries of Fim, Fiom, Uilm, Usb and Ugl metalworkers while two days later, Thursday 9 May, however in Taranto , it will be the turn of related companies. Important meetings that herald sparks especially on the trade union side. Uilm and Fiom, in a marked way, but also Fim, Usb and UglM, in a more soft way, were not satisfied with the contents of the new industrial plan and promise to fight regarding the protection of employment levels.
As regards the related industries, as already said a few days ago on Cronache Tarantine by the president of Aigi, Fabio Greco, heard for his reflections on Labor Day, there is full confidence in the work of the three commissioners even if it is not yet knows nothing about the certification by them of the credits that the companies have from Acciaierie d’Italia as well as waiting for payment for the new works entrusted to them by the commissioner structure. Companies which, however, are producing the documentation to insinuate themselves into the liabilities of Acciaierie d’Italia.
