“I did not declare in an alarmist tone that the summer centers for the disabled could be canceled this summer but I simply brought to the attention of this Administration that, following the communication from the Integrabili Amateur Sports Club that they could not activate the summer center they used around sixty families with disabled children and young people, four requests for an urgent meeting had been registered to receive information on how the service would be guaranteed, which were still awaiting a response”.
These are the words of Fratelli d’Italia city councilor Ethel Moreno in response to Sanremo’s statements at the Centre. “I welcome – goes on – that, following my request, the management decision was taken on 24 April with which the publication of a notice of expression of interest was approved. I therefore reject the sender for having made a completely unfounded intervention with the aim of media speculation, taking into account that it is not the first time that, in order to obtain answers from this administration or to have their rights protected, families, associations and neighborhood committees had to take action through articles in the newspaper or even judicial initiatives”.
“It would certainly be more constructive – ends – if responses to citizens’ requests were given promptly, possibly after discussion if requested, rather than attacking on a personal level all those who disagree with the actions of this Administration: but, as has already been highlighted, when there are no political arguments one enters in institutional bullying whose purges implemented in recent years are nothing other than its expression. Finally, I would like to point out that responding promptly to citizens’ requests is a rule of good education and correct administration.”.
