Great show of pride and an “almost” perfect match for Cemut San Vito called to redeem themselves after a series of defeats.
Already in the first quarter, which ended at 26-16, the hosts showed that they wanted to react to a certainly not very happy period and that they wanted to overturn the first leg match lost only in the final stages. The attack runs wonderfully and the triples by captain Suzzi (11), Cigliani (15 with a 5/6 from long range!) and Gregori (10) effectively extinguish the guests’ ardor already in the first half.
In the second quarter, an excellent Grimaldi legitimized the yellow-blue supremacy, scoring 8 points out of his 19 total, demonstrating that his physical form is slowly returning to that of his best days. He goes to the locker room at 46-35.
In the second half the music doesn’t change, Cernivani invents assists and baskets that expand the lead to a reassuring +19 (68-49) with 10 minutes to go. Cigliani with three triples in a row makes it clear that the yellow and blue are having a day of grace.
The last quarter was also won by Crotta (11) and his teammates who thus earned a well-deserved pink score sheet as a result of a great defensive performance and excellent choices in attack with 6 players in double figures and 23 total assists!
