Yesterday, Friday May 3at 5.30pmin the Council Hall of the Rocca dei Rettori in Benevento, the Sannio Sport Editions, under the guidance of Immaculate Fiscarelliwife of journalist Nicola Russo who passed away in 2018, presented the new product in the series Benevento and its history 2010-2020, a printed work always conceived and created by Nicola Russo. The room was packed, as usual for events Sannio Sports. This testifies to the city’s immense esteem for this brilliant communication professional and much-loved citizen, and now also for those who, with love, pride and competence, are continuing the precious work of reconstructing the football events of Benevento Calcio and guaranteeing the appointment in the stands of the stadium with the paper magazine so loved by fans. The introductory greetings were entrusted to Mayor Clemente Mastella and the Councilor for Culture Antonella Tartaglia Polcini of the Municipality of Benevento. He moderated the meeting the lawyer Mario Collarile, as CONI provincial delegate. They attended Director of Gazzetta di Benevento Alfredo Pietronigro and journalists Giuseppe Iannicelli, Bruno Marra and Mario Pedicini.
However, many other journalists were present at the Rocca such as Maria Gabriella Fuccio, daughter of the late Director of Realtà Sannita Giovanni, great friend of Nicola Russo and creator of numerous events in collaboration with Sannio Sport. The journalist Annamaria Gangale read a letter of greeting and best wishes sent to Immacolata Fiscarelli by Salvatore Campitiello, Treasurer of the Regional Order of Journalists of Campania and President of the Valle del Sarno Press Association.
The series entitled Benevento and its history, therefore, it continues in its composition and style and reaches the seventh volume, giving us valuable images as a corollary to the sports chronicle reconstructions narrated with great mastery. The pages, in addition to the photos, collect the anecdotes and testimonies of those who really experienced Samnite football, providing in detail the facts of the decade 2010 – 2020. Not even the pandemic has stopped this new edition which proudly returns to conquer the souls of those who not only love local football but have the entire history of our Sannio at heart. An exhaustive encyclopedia that can continue to be consulted to learn about the team’s events since its debut in 1930. Thanks to Nicola Russo it’s at Immaculate Fiscarelli for the love and dedication that still today give us young people pieces of a life that we would otherwise ignore.
