Budget and debt of the Municipality of Portoferraio. What participatory budgeting is and how it works: these are the topics of a meeting organized by the “Common Good” list.

“The meeting will start from the fact of the strong deficit of over 7 million euros found by the Court of Auditors in the budget of the Municipality of Portoferraio at the end of the management of the 2022 financial year. How is a municipal budget set up, what are the deficit of administration and the multi-year financial rebalancing procedure adopted by the outgoing Council and what this will mean for the City (in particular, for personal services), what the Participatory Budget that Bene Comune proposes to adopt is and how it works, are the aspects that Marcella Merlini will engage in dialogue with those present’, conclude the group.
