On Wednesday evening, before 7pm, the firefighters intervened at Golosine in via Ruffoni due to a house fire. The flames broke out in an apartment on the first floor of a building that has 20 homes spread over 5 floors.

The firefighters, who arrived from the headquarters with 3 vehicles and 9 operators, immediately worked to put out the fire that was affecting the entire apartment and bring the 15 people to safety, including a disabled person, a newborn and two children, which were blocked on the upper floors by the thick smoke that had invaded the stairwell.

Once reached by the firefighters, all the people were taken out through the stairs, using second-use masks connected to the rescuers’ self-protectors, and were then entrusted to the care of the health workers present on site with several ambulances.

11 of the 15 people saved were admitted to city hospitals for checks.
At the end of the rescue operations, the firefighters concentrated their attention on extinguishing and cleaning up the last outbreaks as well as checking the structural damage caused by the fire.

3 of the 20 apartments were declared unusable due to damage to the supporting structures. Also on site were the Local Police, who were responsible for finding accommodation for the evacuated people, and the State Police. The operations concluded late at night with the final checks and investigations to determine the causes of the fire.
