On the great night of the provincial final of the Second-Third Category Piedmont Cup against the most highly rated Caragliothe Benese she leaves defeated but to applause. The match
There’s barely time to settle down before the Caraglia green-and-whites are already 2-0. First a hold by Sampo’ on Pasero is punished with the maximum punishment. From the spot, goalkeeper Beccaria senses the corner but doesn’t get there (1-0 Caraglio with Bertaina). Then captain Basko, before going off with a bad ankle, doubles the lead from a corner. Benese takes another big risk with the post hit by Martini, but then immediately reopens it: Jargba widens in the area for Delpiano who unloads the ball under the crossbar. At 11′ it’s already 2-1. Caraglio keeps control of the game and hits the woodwork again thanks to Bertaina’s good play. However, Bene Vagienna’s boys didn’t give up an inch and Mihailov almost missed the goal from three quarters.
In the second half the team returns to the ball inspired by the usual Jargba: first Gallesio with a header then Delpiano in the area but they don’t have the best impact. The response from Caragliese is deadly: Bertaina’s unstoppable descent with chocolate in tow for Martini who doesn’t make mistakes on the dish. 3-1. In the 80th minute the turning point: a whip from outside by Mihailov crashes onto the crossbar. On the reversal in front, Caraglio drops the poker with a nice shot from top Bertaina. In the final there is also room for the heavy 5-1.
