The meeting of the mayoral candidate Angelo Zini, running for the second mandate in the local elections of 8 and 9 June, with the Friends of Enfola Association took place in a relaxed atmosphere, with some good moments of in-depth analysis and reflection.
An informal meeting, a sort of small square with chairs placed in a circle (editor’s note: the meeting took place in the space outside the Association’s small house, on the beach), a heart-to-heart chat that rewound the tape from the beginning of the current mandate, in 2019, with the desired objectives, the manifest promises, and to follow the great difficulties faced in the five years of administration, between the pandemic and economic-financial troubles.
And precisely from this last point – i.e. the approval of the 2022 consolidated budget, the 2023 statement, the 2024-2026 DUP and the 2024-2026 forecast – the concrete possibility was put on the table, for the short and medium term, of reorganizing a plan of interventions in favor of the Enfola area and in support of its inhabitants.
At the centre, certainly, is the road system and the management of the car park on the small promontory: in fact, it is not uncommon for those who live in the area to find it difficult to move or secure their vehicle due to the large influx of tourists and non-residents. The mayoral candidate Zini, accompanied in the visit also by the current Councilor Leo Lupi, who had among his delegations public works and mobility and traffic, listened carefully to the requests and points of view of the members of the association, encouraging them to an increasingly active participation in public affairs in order to jointly design projects that are suitable for local territories and communities.
“In fact, listening and sharing” – concludes Zini – “are two of the fundamental elements of this second chapter of mine: doing together, to do better”.
