The Monrealese team won the tie-break play-off against Aurora Volley Siracusa
MONREALE, 24 April – At the end of a tight and exciting match, New. Gi.Ca Volley Monreale wins the play-off against Aurora Volley Siracusa and guarantees its stay in the women’s Serie C.
In the Margherita di Navarra gym in Pioppo, Armando Vicari’s yellow and blue team prevailed 3-2 against the Syracuse team with scores of 25-18, 22-25, 26-28, 25-17, 15-9. The first set saw Gi.Ca. gritty and aggressive, in the second and third, however, the Monrealese were stained by a series of errors that made us think of different prospects for the continuation of the match. Then, however, once this moment had passed, GICA began to develop a logical and orderly game that allowed it to win the subsequent sets. Thanks to this result and the one acquired in the first leg in Syracuse, therefore, they maintain the category, conquered last year.
