GIULIANOVA – There was no corruption for an act contrary to official duties: thus the Cassation sweeps away the accusatory system of one of the most complex judicial investigations ever carried out in the Teramo area and no conviction remains of Castrum due to statute of limitations. Because the Supreme Court, in annulling the appeal sentence without postponement, reclassifies the key crime of the maxi investigation as corruption for an official act, the so-called improper corruption (penalties foreseen from six months to three years), and declares the crime extinguished due to the statute of limitations for the former manager (now suspended) of the Municipality of Giulianova Maria Angela Mastropietro (in the picture)the husband, the entrepreneur Stefano Di Filippothe two entrepreneurial brothers Massimiliano and Andrea Scarafoni. A ruling, that of the judges of the sixth section, which sweeps away the appeal sentence which in 2023, with the long times of justice, after three years had partially reformed the first degree one, reducing the sentences from five to four years and two months for the four.
