More than forty boats are expected from all over the middle Adriatic for the “Sulla Rotta dei Trabaccoli” regatta from Pesaro to Pola, which this year will start in a single heat on 2 May. The appointment is at the port at 4pm. “We have reached the 38th edition of this traditional event – ​​explains Antonio Rossini, president of the Naval League of Pesaro –. We hope that the weather conditions are on our side. The expected arrival in Pula it’s for May 3rd, where another beautiful regatta between the islands will be waiting for us, the ‘Pulska’, now in its 63rd edition, therefore an even more historic event than ours, which we are happy to join boats coming from Porto Civitanova, from Rimini, from Ravenna, and we are very happy about this. Furthermore, this year, starting from 27 April, Pesaro will also host a historic wooden boat of Croatian origin: “Dating back to 1902, it is It was purchased by some friends from Pula who renovated and transformed it as it once was. We will need a mooring worthy of such a wonder.” An appeal taken by the frigate captain Clarissa Torturo, who brought greetings from the Commander of the Port, Claudia Di Lucca: “You deserve compliments because 38 years is a great sign of continuity – she says -. For us, a regatta represents not only the bond between man and the sea but the expression of the union of peoples, cultures and professionalism”. The vice-president of the Regional Council, Andrea Biancani, also brought greetings: “Every year there are many the people who flock to the pier to follow the start of the regatta, a sign that it is an event of great interest – he says -. I also congratulate you for the great work you do in schools like Lega Navale to make children passionate about the culture of the sea”. This year too, in fact, the member Bruno Tamburini has involved hundreds of students with commitment and competence and the requests for it are growing in the classroom. And speaking of schools, the students of the Mengaroni Art School of Pesaro were involved in the symbolic image of the event poster, as explained by the school delegate of the section, Luciana Forlani: the chosen representation was created by Emily Lucarelli, class 5C, “Advertising Graphics” course. Finally, thanks to the work of Professor Giovanna Forlani, the Urbino Book School participated in the national competition of the Italian Naval League on the theme “The culture of the Sea”.
