Chase at night in Versilia, 19-year-old arrested after the accident

A 19-year-old Moroccan was arrested by the Versilia police for resisting after a car chase.

Around 4 o’clock last night, in Marina di Pietrasanta, the police cars from the Forte dei Marmi police station noticed a suspicious car with two people on board. They approached and ordered to stop, but the car accelerated and with dangerous maneuvers tried to escape, even running the red light. The chase began, which ended after a few hundred meters due to the fugitives losing control of the car. They crashed, damaging the wall and gate of the Hotel San Carlo.

Despite everything, having remained unharmed, the two passengers got out of the car and fled on foot. One of the two fugitives, the driver, was blocked and arrested for resisting a public official. The car in which they were travelling, subjected to seizure, was found to be the proceeds of theft, reported in Massa on May 1st. The 19-year-old driver, resident in Massa, was also reported for receiving stolen goods and damage. In light of the criminal profile, the subject was hit by the Foglio of Via del Questore in Lucca for a period of 4 years.
