The deputy recalls that, a few days ago, the secretary of the Ligurian Democratic Party, Davide Nataleattacked the governor Giovanni Toti for the self-financing dinner of 450 euros per person: “We are those of the street parties and clubs, not those of the financing villa parties. The reply from PD secretary Datale was very harsh: “Toti lecturing on party funding is something unheard of and inadmissible. Tell us how much he collected at the last supper and from whom. Don’t hide behind the fact that they are (formally) below the threshold and cannot be directly attributed to an individual. Toti sticks to what has been done openly, through foundations whose statute has the aim of financing politics without asking for any direct or indirect return. Sums that are regularly declared and reported. There is nothing to hide, there is nothing to be ashamed of. We are, proudly, those of the Parties and those of active militancy and those who engage in politics in a serious way and who do not use keyboard lion tones to communicate and attack. I hope that the political response, to protect the democratic community, will soon be accompanied by judicial action to protect the image of individuals vulgarly and uselessly attacked by Toti and his List”.
