Copma obtains gender equality certification

Copma Scpa has obtained the Gender Equality certificate, a tool introduced by the Pnrr, which aims to ensure a higher quality of female work, promoting transparency on work processes in companies.

The certificate, regulated from March 2022 according to the Uni/PdR 125:2022 practice, comes at the end of a process that saw the Ferrara cooperative commit immediately. Among the objectives of the tool, the reduction of the Gender Pay Gap (i.e. the “gender pay gap”, which indicates the difference between the average annual salary received by women and that received by men), increasing growth opportunities in the company and protecting maternity, as well as the introduction of “Kpi” (performance indicators) to be able to monitor the results on gender equality.

“It was natural for Copma to seek this certificate: we strongly wanted it as it was in line with what have always been the principles of equality and solidarity of our cooperative” declares the president, Silvia Grandi. “First of all, we want to thank the staff who have worked hard in recent months to obtain the certification, which now becomes an added value – continues Silvia Grandi – and a new starting point for the continuous improvement of our reality”.

After the recent publication of the Sustainability Report, the Gender Equality Certification constitutes the achievement of a further objective, among those set for 2024. “This certification will also help us in our activities: it allows us to obtain contribution relief and rewards for participation in notices and tenders. Once again, the paths taken by Copma, following our guiding values, bring positive effects on all levels” concludes the president. “We therefore share this result with pride and joy with all our workers, aware of the fact that it will bring benefits to everyone: it is the fruit of a collective commitment, demonstrating that cooperation continues to be the essential basis of our reality”.

For 18 years Este.com offers independent information to its readers and has never accepted public funds so as not to weigh even a cent on the shoulders of the community. The work we do has a significant economic cost and private advertising is not always sufficient.
For this reason we ask those who read us every day and, we hope, appreciate us to give us a small contribution based on their possibilities. Even a small amount of support, multiplied by the tens of thousands of Ferrarese who read us every day, can become fundamental.
