Liguria Region: “Salute Simplex” arrives to simplify access to health services

Genoa. Ligurian citizens will finally be able to say goodbye to long queues and endless phone calls to book medical visits or consult reports. With the activation of the new site Health Simplexthe Liguria Region has in fact brought together 24 health services in a single digital tool, offering simple and immediate access to a vast range of services.

A single access point for 24 services

Among the main functions of Salute Simplex we find:

• Booking and payment of specialist visits and appointments at the Cup
• Search for pediatric and primary care medical practices
• Real-time consultation of the occupancy status of emergency rooms
• Viewing and managing medical prescriptions
• Cancellation of appointments
• Access to the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Online payment of tickets and healthcare services

A step forward towards the digitalisation of healthcare

The introduction of Salute Simplex represents an important step towards the digitalisation of healthcare in Liguria, as underlined by the President of the Region Giovanni Toti: «This new tool is part of a process of simplification of services that began already during the pandemic with Prenotovaccino, Prenoto Salute and Prenoto Prevengo. Today we systematize all the services available to citizens, offering them a single access point and new features that will grow over time.»

The regional councilor for health Angelo Gratarola also highlights the importance of a coordinated approach for the management of digital health services: «It was necessary to harmonize and coordinate the technology and services developed in recent years to guarantee citizens easy and intuitive access. Salute Simplex, created by Liguria Digitale, represents the synthesis of this work.»

A service user-friendly to simplify the lives of citizens

The sole administrator of Liguria Digitale Enrico Castanini places emphasis on the simplicity of use of Salute Simplex: «The 24 services, including new ones and those updated with greater functionality, were already usable on various platforms. Salute Simplex collects them in a single access point, significantly simplifying citizens’ interaction with the regional healthcare system.»

How Salute Simplex works

Salute Simplex can be used for free on any web browser, both from a desktop computer and a smartphone.

To access the services, you must authenticate using your SPID or CIE credentials. Once logged in, users will be able to navigate between the various services and use them in a simple and intuitive way.
