The name recalls the ancient rites of the primitive populations who lived in the cavities of the granite rocks. It was 1970 and the architect from Parma Andres Fiore he had bought land among the rocks of Baja Sardiniabuilding, from the initial cave, a castle with sinuous architectural lines.

Perched between rocks, olive trees and myrtle bushes, the building, called then Ritualit became destination of the international jet set, thanks to faces such as Margaret of England, Aristotle Onassis with his wife Jacqueline Kennedy and Caroline of Monaco. What distinguished the venue was the entertainment format: among the first discos in Italythe Ritual proposed three environments “a garden, the cave and the terraces” where you could dance to the rhythm of the music.

Francesca Fiore’s guide

In 2004, her father’s legacy was inherited by Francesca Fiore, then 22 years old, who did not limit herself to enhancing the history of the place, but was able to interpret new trends, imposing an entrepreneurial vision that combines catering, mixology and entertainment. “I faced the challenge with pragmatism, instinct and the right amount of prudence,” said Fiore, “recreating the sense of family even with customers”. An objective achieved thanks to the collaboration of a team of managers with consolidated experience in the sector, such as Marco Poltronieri, general manager, and Tiziano Rossi, director of the rooftop restaurant and mixology bar Le Terrazze Ritual.

The offer

Today, three elements define the soul of the place: the Le Terrazze Ritual restaurantwhich by Francesca’s will has been enhancing the flavors of Mediterranean cuisine since 2019, the mixology clubwith an innovative drink proposal, and the music. The entertainment hosted in the Ritual’s granite cave is in fact ‘home-produced’, to offer the public the most authentic spirit of the place, and focuses on a personalized choice of music.

“After almost 20 years”, added Fiore, “when it has now become customary to have line-ups with internationally renowned DJs, we felt the need to highlight the club concept with which the Ritual was born and was designed : music in a timeless temple. A return to the origins, but above all a return home.”

Next appointments

The place has two tracks and three bars nestled in nature. The Temple is a natural cave that houses a combination of iron and granite and enlivens summer nights with a refined sound. An amphitheater that takes you back to the past, a dance floor where you can abandon yourself to the rhythm of the dances and a private room where you can experience the atmosphere of Sardinian nightlife. Finally, the Garden is an outdoor space with a dance area and two adjacent bars.

Meanwhile, for the 2024 season the Ritual Club reopening is scheduled for May 31st, that of the Le Terrazze restaurant for June 12th.
