The Regional Councilupon proposal of the Education Councilor Marco Scajolaapproved two measures in favor of the education and job placement of young Ligurian disabled people for a total of 3 million euros.

2.6 million euros, from the European Social Fund 2021-2027, are intended for three-year training courses of 2100 hours reserved for 320 unemployed young people, between 16 and 25 years old, reported by the local health authorities, suffering from disabilities. This is a training offer that is supplementary to the school one and calibrated to the personal needs of the users in a path that favors the approach to work with the possibility of also carrying out laboratory activities or internship experiences. The second measure provides for the allocation of 400 thousand euros of regional resources to implement supplementary education interventions, aids and the purchase of specific materials, for 223 disabled students, under the age of 18, enrolled in ordinary three-year education and training courses, in the IV year or to the dual system routes.

“The priority of this regional administration, since it took office, has been and is not to leave any citizen behind – declares the education councilor Marco Scajola -. These two important measures go exactly in this perspective by providing support and help to over 540 young Ligurians for their training and entry into the world of work. This is an intervention carried out in collaboration with the local health authorities, which I thank, which aims to give fair opportunities to everyone with a truly significant total allocation that exceeds 3 million”.
