Threat aggravated by the mafia method. This is the accusation contested against Costantino Di Silvio, known as «Cha Cha», accused in the trial which began on Wednesday before the single judge of the Latina Court Simona Sergio. According to what was hypothesized by the DDA public prosecutor Luigia Spinelli, in charge of the proceedings, between 2020 and 2021 he wrote two intimidating letters from the prison where he was detained.

The first to a witness in the Don’t Touch trial (which ended with a sentence that became final in 2018), a trader. The second was intended for another person unrelated to the criminal proceedings. She would never have reached her destination. The investigations began three years ago.

«Thank you for letting me get five more years, you did well. Clean your mouth”, this is a passage from the letter that ended up in the investigation documents, sent to the witness in the trial who had testified and was listed as the offended party. In a passage of the second letter, sent to another person, it was stated instead: “When I go out I’ll look for you” with threats for his safety. Based on the investigators’ findings, the letters could be traced back to the accused and had been analyzed by the Forensic Police investigators. It was the trader who had filed the complaint.
