The Tiburtina Choir was founded and directed by Don Mario Pieracci, together with maestro Daniele Rossi, in Tivoli in 1974, the musical association which has fully represented a part of the history of the city and its district, made its debut with its first concert at Cathedral on May 5th of that year, the singers were the girls and boys of Tivoli and beyond, the Tiburtina Choir had notoriety during those years not only at a territorial level, but also at a national level with the musical concert staged at Teatro Italia in Tivoli “Il Gabbiano Jonathan” filmed and televised by RAI, a real event for the time. May 5, 2024 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Tiburtina Choir, which will be celebrated with a concert-revival event planned at the Scuderie Estensi in Tivoli, with the singers of the time, now adults, accompanied by a choir and the testimonies of those who lived that period, for a Sunday of participation and brotherhood, inspiring principles that led to the creation of the Tiburtina Choir (1974) and that today after fifty years want to celebrate it (2024)
