The visit of the ANCI Lazio delegation, led by the Mayor of Rieti Daniele Sinibaldi as vice-president of the association of the Municipalities of Lazio, dedicated to relations with the European Union, ended.
Among the events particularly appreciated by Lazio administrators, the meeting with the Committee of the Regions, with the Representation of the Lazio Region at the EU, the workshop at the European Commission and the visit to the European Parliament.
“We met the structure of the Italian delegation at the European Committee of the Regions, the representative body of the Municipalities, Provinces and Regions, at the Union and subsequently, also together with the President of the Regional Council Antonello Aurigemma, we discussed the officials of the Lazio Representation in Brussels. In these meetings, in particular, we verified a series of possibilities to improve the ability of the Municipalities of Lazio to intercept EU funds and the possibility of implementing the Europe Help Desk in local authorities. I also extend my thanks to the Hon. Salvatore De Meo who welcomed us to the European Parliament. This type of activity is also and above all important for territories such as the City and Province of Rieti which necessarily must improve their capacity for relations with the EU in order to obtain more funds, more resources and therefore more possibilities for the citizens of our Municipalities”.
