meeting in the Region with all the members

Everyone around the same table for a discussion on the central topic: the reform project of the Lazio Industrial Consortium, the largest in Italy in terms of size and which aims to grow further. Today, in fact, the vice-president of the Region and councilor for economic development, Roberta Angelilli, and the commissioner of the strategic territorial body, Raffaele Trequattrini (who took office in recent weeks, taking over from Francesco De Angelis), met all the members of the single consortium: first those on the public side, then the private ones.

«It was a fundamental moment of analysis and discussion which will inevitably have to pass through the rewriting of the statute. A tool that must be streamlined, practical and responsive to the needs of businesses and the territory – explained Angelilli and Trequattrini -. We are working together on these lines, the Consortium and the Region.”

Attention is mainly focused on the legal form that the body, created to promote industrial development, will have to take, on the formation of governance and on the expansion of the corporate base. For some time, in fact, there has been talk of the entry of other municipalities and the expansion of the perimeter of competence, for example to the Viterbo area.

«Another primary aspect – added the vice-president of Pisana and the commissioner – concerns the mission of the Consortium: it will have to be much more modern and functional to the requests we receive from companies. Our industrial areas have changed profoundly and it is necessary for the Consortium to adapt by becoming increasingly smart. From the members we found full agreement on these points and great willingness to work together to achieve this objective which will open the new phase of the Consortium”.

On the sidelines of the double meeting, Trequattrini underlined: «Together with vice-president Angelilli, whom I thank for her decisive support, we are working to achieve this result which will allow us to give ever greater strength to the Consortium and to the industrial development of the whole of Lazio».
