Zachary Levi stars in the action thriller Free Fall, directed by Tarantino collaborator Zoë Bell

The protagonist of Shazam! at the center of the new feature film by the famous Kill Bill stuntwoman.

Zachary Levi, best known for his roles in Chuck and Shazam!, is about to join the cast of the climbing action thriller entitled Free Falltogether with the renowned New Zealand stuntwoman and stunt coordinator Zoë Bell, historical collaborator of Quentin Tarantino.

Written by Sean Finegan and Gregg Maxwell Parker, Free Fall tells the story of the a father’s attempt to reconcile with his daughter with which he walked away, during a climbing excursion that turns deadly when an accident leaves them stranded hundreds of meters in the air. Production on the film is expected to begin later this year in New Zealand.

Acrobatic career

Zoë Bell began her career as stunt performer in Xena: Warrior Princess and then alongside Quentin Tarantino as a stuntwoman and coordinator over the course of a decade. She has worked on films such as The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained, the Kill Bill diptych with Uma Thurman, Inglourious Basterds, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Thor: Ragnarok and Iron Man 3. She was a stunt coordinator on Time Taika Waititi’s Bandits, also working as second unit director. In addition to Free Fall, Bell is busy working on Boss Bitch Fight Challenge.

“This script is the perfect mix of adjectives like heartwarming and breathtaking. Between the New Zealand production team, cast and crew, words don’t do justice to the emotion I feel working on this film” declared the director. There is no further news on the film other than Levi’s hiring.

Enthusiasm also within the production of the film:“We are very excited to make this film with so many longtime friends. Sean [Finegan] wrote the script after working with us as an executive on the Warner Bros. lot. That’s where we met Zac while filming Chuck on Stage 4, and we befriended Zoë after seeing her brilliant work as a stuntwoman in Kill Bill.”.
