Ultimate tournament at the Toano frisbee festival: the 2nd team of IC Bismantova wins

The collaboration between various institutes and the local sports world was the basis of the success of the initiative which involved 22 teams representing 8 second classes of the lower secondary schools of Castelnovo ne’ Monti, Felina, Toano, Regnano, Baiso and Viano.

For all the students, the course, which lasted 8 hours in the gym and 2 hours on the sports field, was fun and engaging, transferring the values ​​of the discipline to all the young protagonists of the experience.

Self-refereeing, the rules of the game, the sharing of objectives and strategies and being together in the open air are peculiarities underlined by all the teachers and appreciated by all the kids who threw the discus to try to reach the goal together to teammates. In the current school year the project Multisport in the Monti involved around 450 students, encouraging their approach to 8 different and innovative sports disciplines.

“It was a fantastic year,” he underlines Roberto Zanini, councilor of Polisportiva Quadrifoglio, in which starting from Castelnovo ne Monti we have expanded the sporting initiatives to other mountain areas while maintaining an excellent quality level of the proposals both from a technical and educational point of view”. Morena Bizzarri, head teacher of the IC Foscolo-Toano, underlined the wonderful moment of aggregation experienced on the occasion of the party: “The district Ultimate Frisbee tournament of Toano showed everyone the beautiful sports structure adjacent to the school in which they took part the competitions took place and highlighted the great ability of the physical education teachers of the various institutes involved to collaborate with each other and with the local sports world which shared training paths and values ​​with the school world”.

The Ultimate Frisbee module of the Multisport ne’ Monti project came to fruition thanks to the intervention of the Cooperativa Sportiva Heron of Bagnolo in Piano which entered into an important educational alliance with the Cooperativa Sportiva di Comunità Quadrifoglio of Castelnovo ne Monti. The frisbee activities were coordinated by the FIGEST Federal Technician Riccardo Montanari who amalgamated a working group made up of Franco Castagnetti, Roberto Zanini and teachers Anna Iattici, Gerardo Torluccio, Marta Brogliatto and Elena Piacentini.

The Multisport ne’ Monti project is supported by Law 8 of the Emilia-Romagna Region and is part of the activities of the Municipality of Castelnovo ne’ Monti, a town for sport.
