Starting today on the Data Platform, presented and available online since last February at the link Osservario.dms.puglia.it, citizens and operators will be able to consult the data relating to the previous year. Again thanks to the action of the Regional Tourism Department, the objective is to also share the current year’s data, moving towards real-time information on tourist flows.

Furthermore, today the weareinPUGLIA app will be released (available for iOS and Android), which integrate the Region’s digital tools for tourism and culture. Another novelty is the European registration of the brand.

The knowledge and use of data become the driving force behind Puglia’s data-driven marketing strategies, which are made available to the territories to plan and program their activities.

At the same time, the territorial liveliness becomes an innovative set of digital contents useful for tourists to plan their trip and experience the Apulian identity, browsing the weareinPUGLIA app.

All this would not be possible without the collaboration of public and private operators, who make information on what they organize available and usable and in turn take advantage of regional dissemination and visibility to promote themselves.

Thus the signing of a “weareinPUGLIA digital community pact” to sanction the collaboration already underway with the Municipalities, in a training day with the Pugliapromozione Regional Tourism Agency, which includes a real communication agency, whose skills are made available to municipal colleagues.

More than 1500 places and locations to visit, a multimedia archive of around 50,000 files, a Single Events Schedule that will enliven the region in the coming months, travel ideas, all available in the app as well as in open data, integrated by an Apulian glossary, the places of cinema, typical and artisanal products, a new narrative thread that inspires the traveler on viaggioinpuglia.it, thanks to the collaboration with the Municipalities, with the Proloco, with the Library-museum Centers and the regional subsidiaries.

The presentation of the project “PUGLIA a digital community” was attended by Luca Scandale, general director of the AReT Pugliapromozione, Patrizio Giannone, manager of the Tourism and Internationalization Section of the Puglia Region, Mauro Bruno, manager of the Development, Innovation and Networks section of the Puglia Region, Florenzia Pascazio, president of ANCI Puglia and numerous mayors and municipal administrators throughout the regional territory.
