Fano, Marchegiani of the progressives asks for a non-medical vehicle for the night

FANO The deficit of a second ambulance on duty at night persists. «Unacceptable» when speaking of the «third city of the Marche» notes the Progressive mayoral candidate for Make 2050 Stefano Marchegianiwhich takes up the battle undertaken by the Five Star Movement in recent months and which is now relaunched by the candidates for the city council Federico Tinello, Giovanni Fontana and Francesco Panaroni.

What continues to arise following the unavailability of a second vehicle 24 hours a day is “a serious risk to the health and safety of citizens” which requires not wasting any more time “in activating a second nursing ambulance with adequately trained and trained personnel to respond to any health emergency”, in particular authorized “to recognize situations of particular danger to life and to implement maneuvers and protocols that make the difference in transport from the territory to the emergency room”. It is not a question of ambulances (the second, which would be available even after 8pm, remains unused), but of operators.

«To guarantee adequate coverage even during the night hours, it is necessary to hire three rescue drivers and three nurses» underline Marchegiani and the Five Star Movement members, who return to exhibiting the unpleasant comparison with cities «such as Pesaro, Senigallia, Jesi and Ancona», where availability is instead guaranteed even at night “of at least two ambulances with medics on board”. Not even regional councilor Ruggeri gives up on this point, whose question, discussed today in the assembly session, puts the emphasis back on the «responsibilities of regional politics», consequently also bringing out those of the centre-right mayoral candidate Serfilippi, who « he is part of that majority and has never done or proposed anything.”

The idea to discard

For Marchegiani and the Five Star Movement, the idea of ​​finding support in volunteering should be discarded “which is essential in supporting professionals and in carrying out the transport service for the sick, but which cannot be the healthcare response that citizens expect for such a crucial task” .

It is not only the news that bears witness to the fact that Fano may find itself unprotected (“not long ago there was news that the Fano medical ambulance even intervened in Monte Guiduccio”), but also the current management of the service, which makes that the only medical ambulance supplied to the city during the night time “is diverted to other areas, such as those of Colli al Metauro and Terre Roveresche, to support the nursing ambulances present there”.
