The lawyer Gian Luca Mignogna participated in a program on the 90.7 frequency Radio Olympiawhere he commented on the current situation of Lazio and also discussed issues related to Flaminio Stadium.
These are his words:
“This year we have witnessed a disconcerting swing of results, which however can be directly linked to the disconnect created within the locker room. We have listened to Sarri complain several times about the failure of his first choices to arrive, with statements that at the same time created alibis, depressed and removed responsibility from several players. Over the course of the season, many of them indulged in statements that should have been handled differently, but which are symptomatic of the climate that existed in Formello”.
About the season
“The last bolts from the blue, only in chronological order, were the words of Patric who before Lazio-Salernitana invited those who no longer believed in the project to step aside, the interview with Luis Alberto after the match who called himself out it almost seemed to answer him and then the transition of Felipe Anderson to Palmeiras was made official. On the biancoceleste bench
“We’ll see what happens, but I believe that some important changes would be needed in the corporate management. I would like to see Klose in the role of club manager, because the German has a great caliber and could be the missing link between the management and the team. We can’t yet give a judgment on Tudor, personally I haven’t even figured out his type of game yet, but I hope that in this final part of the season he can give the right stimuli to the whole squad, because it would be nice to achieve some goals despite all the troubles that the Lazio fans had to endure in spite of themselves.”
On the 1915 Scudetto
“For the 1915 Scudetto it is a particular moment, there have been no major initiatives, the documents have been on the table since time immemorial and should be examined but none of this happens. The request for ex aequo assignment was not accepted but not rejected either, and in fact the procedure is still ongoing. There will be federal elections very soon, it will be clear whether Gravina will run again and it will be an important moment, if I were the federal president I would try to reach a definition of the issue before the elections. If this didn’t happen, in his place I wouldn’t even stand for re-election, it would be a big flaw to carry with me into the new mandate.”
On the Flaminio
“Many people talk about the Flaminio stadium but I think the time for words is over, we all feel it as the blue-and-white house by definition, after all, it was precisely in that area in the 1914-15 season that the Rondinella stadium was inaugurated. When Lazio started playing football seriously, they did it there, even if before they had played in Piazza d’Armi, Villa Borghese and the Farnesina, Lazio’s first real facility was the Rondinella, where the car park now stands which separates the Flaminio from the Sports Hall. However, there is no way out with a continuous feedback between the parties involved: it would be necessary to ask and obtain a resolution from the Municipality of Rome that can ensure a level playing field between Lazio and Rome, in terms of timing, capacity of the system and direct and indirect. The company that starts first will initially have greater economic strength, even more so those who will be able to count on a larger volume to fuel their commercial revenues. The key may be to bind the Municipality of Rome to guarantee equal conditions between the two Capitoline companies on the development, under equal conditions, of the projects of the respective stadiums”.
