The fire in Monterosso was not put out: two Canadairs in action

The fire that has been affecting the area since yesterday evening is still ongoing a very impervious area in the countryside of Monterosso Almo, in the Vignieri-Calorio district.

TWO CANADAIRS IN ACTION

In addition to the fire brigade and civil protection teams, a Forestry helicopter also intervened and began its first launches this morning. Since this afternoon, two Canadairs have been in action supplying water to Marina di Ragusa, as the closest dams (Santa Rosalia and Lago Dirillo) are almost dry.

The fire is continuing to devour hectares of forest, also due to the wind.
