A bad misadventure has struck Andrea Dovizioso on the morning of Tuesday 9 April. The rider from Romagna, born in 1986, fell during a motocross training session on the Terranuova Bracciolini track (Arezzo) reporting a head injury which required the sudden intervention of the air ambulance. Dovizioso was transported in code three at the Careggi hospital in Florencewhere he was subjected to the necessary investigations. However, his life is not in danger.

The portal GPone.com he then specified that Andrea Dovizioso was conscious upon arrival at the Careggi Hospital in Florence and the CT scan he underwent gave a negative result. Dovizioso suffered a fracture of his right collarbone in addition to the head injury, the report on his wrists is now awaited.

World champion in the 125 class in 2004 and retiring at the end of the 2022 season, Dovizioso has always cultivated a passion for cross bikes, with which he often trained even during his 23 years as a professional in MotoGP. Today, through a long-term agreement with the Italian Motorcycle Federation, he manages the renovated Monte Coralli track in Faenzarenamed “04 Park”.
