This year the European competition will be held in Malmo, Sweden from 7 to 11 May, and Italy, being part of the Big Five, i.e. the founding countries, is already in the final by regulation.
Although Mango initially didn’t seem to have all these possibilities, his prices have been on the rise for a few weeks and he might even be able to repeat the success achieved by Maneskin in 2021 with their Zitti e Buoni. Consequentially, De Filippi willingly decided to move the semi-final of Amici 23 to Sunday 12 May: not only, probably, to avoid penalizing the ratings of her talent show, but also, one might think, to let the spectators’ attention focus on the artist discovered by her.
A gesture that is certainly also clever so as not to ruin the show’s share, but which also suggests how attached the presenter is to the talents she helped launch and is very happy with the success they manage to achieve. The final of Amici, however, will be broadcast regularly on May 18ththe day in which we will finally be able to know the name of the artist who will raise the much coveted cup.
