Bari, Noto poll: but what a political attack, the Commission is “normal procedure”
Descriptive text here

54% of Italians believe that the Commission for access to the Municipality of Bari sent by the Ministry of the Interior is a normal procedure, given that there is an investigation underway by the judiciary, for 27% it is to be understood as a the government’s political war against a centre-left administration, while 19% cannot express an opinion or have not followed the case. This is what emerges from a national survey, which is part of the weekly monitoring of the most current events, carried out on 25 March by the Istituto Noto Sondaggi, on a sample of one thousand voters, disaggregated by sex, age and area of residence in relation to Istat parameters. «We have contrasted the two political lines that exist today – the director of Noto Sondaggi, Antonio Noto, explained to Adnkronos – the government side and the ministry say it is a normal procedure given that there is an investigation underway for part of the judiciary, however the opposition with Decaro says it’s not true, this is a political war attack on an administration led by the centre-left. We have analyzed these two extremes. Between these two extremes, the prevailing belief is that it is not a political attack but a normal access given that there is actually an investigation underway.”

«Within the centre-right voters it is quite normal to find a significant majority that does not translate the access commission into a political act: 73% of Fdi voters, 62% of the Lega electorate and even 97% think so. % of the Forza Italia electorate – explains Noto – When we analyze the opposition data, obviously the weights change: 64% of the Democratic Party electorate and 64% of the Alleanza Verdi e Left electorate think it is a the government’s political war against a centre-left mayor while the 5 Star Movement is split in half. In the Action electorate, 55% think that the access commission is a normal procedure and among voters who voted for other parties in the latest elections, 50% of them are of this opinion. Among those who abstained from politics, 61% followed the normal procedure given the ongoing investigation.” So Noto underlines «those who experience the access commission more as a political attack are concentrated only in the electorate of the Democratic Party and in the Green Left Alliance. Except for the 5 Star Movement which is divided in half, all the remaining part of both the majority and opposition electorate and even those who abstained from the last political elections believe that it is not an act against Decaro but a normal procedure”. “I’ll explain the 54% in relation to these numbers,” he concludes, “it’s true that the left-wing electorate thinks it’s a political attack but it’s a minority compared to the Italian electorate.”
