LATINA – “The activity will focus on the dignity of patients and healthcare workers”. These are the first words of the new commissioner of the Local Health Authority of Latina Sabrina Cenciarelli. In a note, twenty-four hours after the appointment was made official by the President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca, the former administrative director, thanks the Governor and the Director of Health Andrea Urbani and expresses “a thought of gratitude to Doctor Silvia Cavalli and to Dr. Sergio Parrocchia, with whom we have carried out intense work in difficult years for public health”.
Cenciarelli then recalls the commitments and challenges that the Local Health Authority of Latina will have to face: “Our company will be called upon to manage significant resources, from the PNRR to the Jubilee 2025. We will keep planning at the center of our activity, further developing the network between hospital facilities and local healthcare, as well as working towards the creation of new and modern healthcare facilities. Innovation, digitalisation and investments in high technology will be the strong points of our action”.
A transition in the name of continuity between the general director Cavalli, now Commissioner of the ASL Roma 5, and Cenciarelli who have worked side by side since the pandemic. A name that was immediately circulated, except for the setback a few days ago. Having overcome the political vetoes, Rocca was then able to proceed with the nomination.
With an official note, the mayor of Latina Matilde Celentano wanted to express her satisfaction: “My congratulations to Dr. Sabrina Cenciarelli for her appointment as extraordinary commissioner of the Latina ASL. Excellent choice by the president of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca – we read – I have already had the opportunity to appreciate Dr. Cenciarelli as administrative director of the Pontine healthcare company, especially in these months which, as mayor of the capital, see me at the guide of the conference of mayors for healthcare in the province of Latina. Her managerial skills are excellent; this is what is needed to face the great challenges of changing healthcare.
