SAONARA (PADUA) – The catering world is mourning the death of Franco Nicoletto82 years old, historic owner of the “4 Pini” restaurant in via Zago in Villatora, which between 1966 and the mid-nineties was one of the points of reference for thousands of customers. A cycle that has made the history of the town comes to an end, given that previously, in April four years ago, his brother Otello, with whom he ran the restaurant, had also died. The well-known venue was also one of the first Milan Clubs in the province.

Franco Nicoletto had been ill for some time. His heart stopped beating on Tuesday. The restaurateur leaves in pain his daughter Simonetta, his sister Paola and three grandchildren. Those who knew him well remember him as a whimsical and imaginative person. With creativity he managed to enhance his work, in which he achieved personal successes of absolute value. Sport has always played a fundamental role among the eighty-two-year-old’s passions. Franco Nicoletto practiced karate and weightlifting with important results. The eighty-two year old loved life and did not miss anything. He worked tirelessly, but did not miss out on luxury cars and travel. He was the glue of many companies of friends, his contagious friendliness made him a leader and he was appreciated and esteemed by everyone. As a chef Nicoletto received important recognition and was appreciated throughout the Northeast. He had recently moved to Tombelle di Vigonovo to live with his daughter. The last farewell to the chef, spearhead of the “4 Pini” of Villatora, is scheduled for today at 3pm in the morgue of the Dolo hospital. Then the body will be cremated.

A curiosity: the 4 Pini restaurant was inaugurated a week before the famous flood of ’66. At the beginning the work was minimal, then over time the place had become known to become one of the best on the Brenta Riviera. In those years the catering work carried out by the brothers Franco and Otello Nicoletto was notable and brought great satisfaction to the entire area. In the last few hours, the Nicoletto family also received condolences from the municipal administration. The news of the death of the eighty-two year old has left a huge void among all those who have appreciated his human and professional qualities in recent years.
