If the AC bill n.97, launched by the League on 13 October 2022, will be approved by the House and Senate, getting married will be a less expensive expense. The proposal under discussion actually concerns a new wedding bonus 2024dedicated though only to those who get married in church. Specifically, to couples under 35 who opt for religious marriage.
How much would the 2024 wedding bonus be
It took the name of marriage bonus la deduction from the gross Irpef tax proposed for 2024.
It is therefore not a real credited bonus, but one 20% deduction that comes to cover up to a maximum of 20,000 euros.
Dedicated only to those getting married in church
Measure to be recognized in the tax return in the documented expenses section regarding the celebration of the religious wedding.
The bonus must be divided among those entitled to it distributed in five annual installments of the same amount.
It would allow you to get one deduction on any expenses relating to ceremonies and celebrations: from dresses to flowers, up to the restaurant bill, hairdresser and make-up artist and photo shoot.
To ensure that the benefit is recognised, all expenditure must be made via bank transfer or debit or credit card. Payment by bank check or cash is not accepted.
Only for those who marry in church before the age of 35
AC n.97 provides that the wedding bonus is available only to couples under the age of 35who choose to celebrate a religious wedding, in church or in a specific place of worship.
Further requirements are the possession, for both spouses, of Italian citizenship for at least 10 years.
As regards the income situation, a Overall ISEEreferring to the year preceding the one for which the measure is requested, not exceeding 23 thousand euros (11,500 euros per person).
The deduction, from a regulatory point of view, would comply with the procedure indicated in the Consolidated Law on Income Taxes, as indicated in the 2024 tax reform.
