The community of Ardea is shocked by the tragedy that occurred at the intersection of Via Pontina Vecchia and Via della Pescarella, where a serious road accident caused the death of a little girl and serious injuries to other children and an adult. The scene required the immediate intervention of rescuers and law enforcement, who arrived in the hinterland of Ardea, in an area equidistant between Pomezia and Campoleone.
According to what was reported by the authorities, the collision involved three cars, but the exact circumstances of the accident have not yet been fully clarified. What is certain is that the consequences were devastating: an 8-year-old girl lost her life instantly, while at least two other children, all aged between 8 and 10, were rushed to hospital in cause of the serious injuries sustained.
Furthermore, an adult involved in the accident was transferred under code red to San Camillo via the Pegaso helicopter, confirming the seriousness of the situation.
The Pomezia Fire Brigade, the Local Police and the 118 medical staff quickly intervened at the scene of the accident, trying to manage the scene and provide assistance to the injured. However, despite their joint efforts, they were unable to save the little victim, who died from the injuries sustained in the impact.
