After the season opening of the Cento meeting, the competition calendar continued on Saturday 13 April with the 2nd Copparo Globalambiente Trophy, which also saw the Assoluti athletes on the field. Among these, Lorenzo Basco stood out, who won the long jump with the appreciable measurement of 6.76 m and a zero over 7 meters, and Filippo Torresin, who won the 1000 m with a good time of 2 :31.52. In the same women’s race, a good performance also for Elena Bonafè, who ran in 3:14.27 and came seventh. In the men’s 300m, Giovanni Padovan stopped the clock at 36.75, placing himself in ninth place and in the same distance, an excellent performance for the young Emma Brina (2006), seventh with 44.03. In the 150 m Giorgia Francioso made her debut in the Student category with a good 20.56, while her partner Carola Ferrario ran in 21.14.

For the youth categories, Marco Francioso won the 60m Boys running in 8.84, Enrico Sudano fourth with 9.42. Fabio Besutti came second in the Boys’ 600m with a time of 2:02.92 and his partner Giorgia Zanzi fifth with 2:07.25; Giorgia also ran the Girls 60m, finishing eighth with 9.33. In the 80 m Cadetti Samuele Ricci placed fifth with 11.10 and Cadet Greta Boninsegna sixth with 11.35; in the same race, Virginia Pelati 11.44, Beatrice Barigozzi 11.54, Rachele Botti 11.56 and Chiara Ferraro 11.63. In the 1000m Cadette, Margherita Reggi and Margherita Rzzati came fifth and eighth with 3:42.11 and 3:49.17 respectively.

The young Cussini found themselves competing again on Wednesday 17th at the Ferrara school camp for the provincial championships of Boys and Girls and Cadets. Among the girls, good performances by Malena Kona and Giorgia Zanzi first and second in the 60m hurdles with 11.7 and 11.8. Among the boys, Filippo De Carli was first in the shot put with 7.35 m, Pietro Giovinazzo was second in the vortex with 36.43 m and Fabio Besutti was third in the 60m hurdles with 11.9. Furthermore, the Regional Relay Championships took place on Sunday 21st in Parma, where the Cussine Cadettes Greta Boninsegna, Beatrice Barigozzi, Chiara Ferraro and Rachele Botti ran the 4×100 obtaining a good 55.40.
