Descriptive text here

Ebba Andersson has recently announced the publication of a book, which traces a specific period of his early career. This is obviously an autobiographical content, whose very eloquent title gives a good idea of the topics covered: “From the Olympic storm to the world gold”where by “Olympic storm” we mean the disappointment of the less than excellent results achieved at the Beijing 2022 Games, while the references to “world gold” are clearly linked to the recent World Championships of Planica 2023, where Andersson took home several medals, including gold in the 30 km classic technique.

In particular, with this publication Ebba Andersson talks about the growth path had between 2022 and 2023, focusing in particular on the contrast of the two 30 km, which concluded in a diametrically opposite manner. If in Beijing the Swede had to settle for an 8th place, surrendering to the crisis that arose at the end after coming close to a medal, in Planica she achieved a crushing victory with almost a minute’s margin over her opponents. A victory that adds to the other medals won in the Slovenian event, namely the gold in the skiathlon and the bronzes in the 10 km skating and the relay.

Results aside, “From the Olympic storm to the world gold” tells of the efforts undertaken by Andersson in improving his training, his nutrition and – in general – his attention to his health. In particular, the Swede says that she found herself having to deal with aspects related to overtraining (or overtraining) which had influenced her to the point of compromising the regularity of her menstrual cycle. Then the awareness, the help of a nutritionist and a gynecologist and an increase in attention to one’s health, until arriving at the splendid results of Planica. Andersson’s story is intended to be not only an autobiographical story, but also a way to encourage athletes who may find themselves in her situation not to take anything for granted and to take the signals given by their body seriously.

The book – written together with Marie-Anne Knutas – will be available starting April 30 on the Storytel platformwhere it can be consulted both in its E-book version of approximately 70 pages, and as an audiobook, for both cases in Swedish.
