“I promise on my honor to deserve trust” recites that scout promise that Franco Biagetti had uttered many times, he who was a scout leader known and appreciated by the Durantina community who now mourns him. Biagetti died yesterday at the age of 79 and the city learned the news with great emotion. Historic owner of the Stibu Graphic Arts, he continued the profession of typographer that his family has carried out since 1904, contributing to the development and leading his company to become an important reality in the sector. In Urbania Franco Biagetti was a point of reference in the world of scouting: after a long militancy in the ASCI he had founded the Durantina section of the Scouts of Europe.

Biagetti was also a city councilor and Marco Ciccolini, who had shared the experience of scouting with him, remembered him with emotion: “He was the architect in our city of the rebirth of the scout movement, which turns 40 this year – recalls the mayor -, becoming a point of reference for hundreds of young people. This is also why he was so esteemed and well-liked by everyone. Over the years he did so much socially and for culture in Urbania”.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 3pm in the Co-Cathedral of Urbania. Biagetti will be buried in his scout uniform.
