The final anime cycle of Demon Slayertitled The Infinity Castle, will inspire a trilogy of films, rather than a season of the series. The news was given at the time of the broadcast of the eighth and final episode of the fourth season of the series.

The trilogy of new Demon Slayer films, which is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotōge, will be distributed in cinemas worldwide (excluding Japan) by Crunchyroll worldwide, but the release date has not yet been announced.

The manga Demon Slayer by Koyoharu Gotōge debuted in the pages of the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump in 2016 and ended in 2020. The story it tells is set in Japan in the early 1900s and follows the events of Tanjiro, a young man who becomes a demon hunter after his family is killed by some of them. In Italy the series is published by Edizioni Star Comics.
