In the media setting of the Nintendo Direct in June opened by the announcement of Mario & Luigi Brothership, Eiji Aonuma attracted the attention of fans of the Zelda series by officially announcing The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdomthe rumored adventure starring the princess.
The next original chapter of Nintendi’s beloved odyssey will adopt a graphic sector and a style similar to the Switch re-release of Zelda The Link’s Awakening to give us the opportunity to once again save the Kingdom of Hyrule by playing, this time, Princess Zelda herself.
The pivot around which the gaming experience promised to us by Aonuma and his companions will gravitate will be the princess’s great wisdom which will allow her to memorize the appearance and functionality of objects to recreate exact copies of them to be used in the most disparate ways. Zelda’s unique ability will allow her, for example, to materialize tables or columns of water to reach raised platforms, and even to recreate the appearance of the enemies faced to create ‘faithful’ copies (and not just in a literal sense!) .
The explanatory film published by Nintendo after the Reveal Trailer is the perfect litmus test of a title that aims to offer us the Greater freedom in using Zelda’s powersboth in the exploration phases and in the fighting and in the resolution of environmental puzzles.
While waiting for further information from the Aonuma team, we inform you that The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom will arrive on September 26th exclusively on Switch.
